KNN.FIVE

Nut – Kanutsanan Khemthong, aka KNN.FIVE. His well-known artworks with 4-eye character, which refers to concentration and clear direction. Combined with manga-anime lines from a mixture of Thai and pop culture, Then, the NEOTHAICIVILIZATION world and “Fire Boy ”, the lead character who has four eyes and fire hair, became well recognized and reflected the artist’s identity.

The artist was born in 1993. He graduated from the Bachelor of Decorative Arts in Applied Art program (painting major) at Silpakorn University. Afterward, he began his career as an artist, and he continued developing his artworks, concepts, formats, and characters. His works have been shown at several exhibitions, such as in 2019 “Culture District Bangkok” exhibition at Museum Siam and “Very Thai” at ODS Siam Discovery, in 2020 “Chiang Mai Design Week”, in 2021 Bangkok Illustration Fair, “For Art’s Sake by Gofy” in Singapore, In 2022 Profile Pick by Bitkub and the solo exhibition “ENDneagram 9+1” at Kalwit Gallery, “Awesome Dude” and “Pippo OK!” at Joyman Gallery, in 2023 “Coast” at Stupid Krap! (Queensland, Australia), etc. 

Moreover, collaborations with well-known brands in Thailand and internationally, for instance, GMM Grammy, Disaya, Lido Connect, Still Dream (Japanese), Fat Radio, Spicydisc (Music Label), Biblio Publishing, Converse, Singha Corporation, Siam Discovery, and True 5G.

The name “KNN.5” comes from the artist’s first name “Kanutsanan” and Five – 5 is his lucky number. Every time he has to make any decisions, five is always the number that he picks.
