Worms | Land | Anthem The exhibition of 2 artists: BOBBY LEASH and AITOY that give you an opportunity to access the art that reflects social viewpoint through the artworks. Collected stories about dreaming, belief, brave, freedom and including surviving in the social and community to connect with a doubt of the social condition, and reflect to the paintings and sculptures for audiences to exploring, thinking and analyzing by their own experiences. Worms | Land | Anthem will be occurred from 29 Aug – 3 Oct 2021 at Joyman Gallery, Phra Nakhon subdistrict, Bangkok.

ผลงานจัดแสดงผ่าน ประติมากรรม ภาพวาดสีน้ำมัน และภาพพิมพ์เทคนิคพิเศษ ศิลปินถ่ายทอดเรื่องราว อารมณ์และความรู้สึกของผู้ที่ถูกกดทับและชักใย ผ่านกลุ่มเด็กน้อยผู้รอดชีวิตที่ตื่นขึ้นจากความฝันและถูกสอนให้ต่อสู้เพื่อตัวเอง บางคนเอาชนะความกลัวตาย บางคนเอาชนะความอยากตาย แต่เด็กน้อยผู้รอดชีวิตมีจำนวนที่เหลือน้อยและเหนื่อยล้าลงทุกที

The Child with Pale Eyes by BOBBY LEASH

There are sculptures, paintings and special technique of printmaking. Artist reflects the story, expression and feeling of a human who has been suppressed and manipulated through the children who survived and awoke from dreaming. They have been taught to fight for themselves. Some could overpower from death, but not many of them.

“ใช้เวลานานมากกว่าประเทศอันที่เป็นรักของเราทุกคนจะมาถึงจุดนี้ ถ้ามองในแง่ดี (ท่ามกลางสถานการณ์เลวร้าย) ก็ถือว่านี่เป็นพัฒนาการที่สำคัญ ดูเหมือนดอกไม้แห่งเสรีภาพจะต้องรดให้เติบโตด้วยเลือดสีแดง สีอื่นเหมือนจะใช้ไม่ได้ ทีนี้เรารู้ราคาของมันแล้ว คำถามคือ เรายังจะไปต่อ และไปไหว หรือเปล่า

It takes a long time for Thailand to reach this certain point, where its citizens start to realize that freedom actually exists. Just…not here yet. On the bright side, that means we now know how to get there.
If you are a citizen of the free world, you already know the tree of liberty needs to be watered with blood. My question is, are we really ready to pay for it?”

อัตลักษณ์ ชนชั้น และ สัญญะ จาก AITOY

ศิลปินแสดงผลงานเล่าเรื่องราวสิ่งที่เป็นมา เป็นอยู่ และเป็นไปในสังคม ภาพสะท้อนสังคมอุดมคติที่ขับเคลื่อนด้วยอัตตาและอคติ ผ่านการซ่อนความหมายในรายละเอียดของแต่ละชิ้นงาน ฝังไว้เป็น Easter Egg ชวนให้ผู้ชม ไตร่ตรอง พิจารณา และค้นหาความหมายในผลงานภาพวาดสีน้ำมัน ประติมากรรม และ พื้นที่สร้างประสบการณ์ร่วม

Identity, Class and Symbols by AITOY

The artist artworks show the story of what has been, is, and is going on in society, reflection of ideal society that drive from ego and bias. He tells these stories by hiding some meanings in the detail of art pieces as an Easter Egg. It encourages people to reflect, consider, and find meaning in oil paintings, sculptures, and shared experiences.

Can we free speech? – จะเป็นอย่างไรถ้าเราได้กล่าวถ้อยแถลงสำคัญอย่างเสรี

AITOY จัดสรรพื้นที่ให้ผู้เข้าชมงานได้สัมผัสประสบการณ์บนแท่นพิธีกล่าวตามแบบฉบับพิธีการที่พบเห็นได้อย่างคุ้นตาบนสื่อต่างๆในสังคมไทย เพื่อตั้งคำถามต่อผู้เข้าชมที่ได้ประกาศถ้อยแถลงอย่างบริสุทธิ์ใจ ว่าการกระทำดังกล่าวถือเป็นสิทธิ์ที่ทุกคนพึงมี หรืออันที่จริงแล้วมีราคาที่ต้องจ่ายเพื่อแลกมาซึ่งเสรีภาพในการแสดงออก

Can we free speech? – How it will be going, if we have made an important proclamation freely.

AITOY managed a space for audience to experience the feeling when the traditional ceremonial speech on the podium as seeing on Thai media. To question the visitors who made the proclamation in good faith about such action is a right that everyone has, or it is truly a price that has to pay for freedom of expression.

AITOY กล่าวว่า
“ ( มรดกจากยุคสงครามทำให้ที่ผ่านมาเราถูกครอบด้วยอัตลักษณ์ที่รัฐสร้างมาตลอด จองจำทั้งด้านกายภาพและความคิด จะรู้ตัวหรือไม่ จะช้าหรือเร็ว มนุษย์ต้องเป็นอิสระจากสิ่งที่รัฐยัดเยียดเหล่านี้ เราไม่ควรถูกปกครองด้วยคนที่ตายไปแล้ว)”

AITOY said
“War period heritage have been covered us by a state identity both physical and thinking, noticed or unnoticed, late or soon. Human needs freedom from the authority imposed. We should not be ruled by the dead people.”
