ลุคคูล ดูปัง สวย เฟียซ มันส์ ล้วนเป็นลักษณะเด่นของศิลปะร่วมสมัยยุคใหม่ (New Contemporary Art) แนวงานที่ถูกเหยียดให้เป็นศิลปะใต้ดิน (underground art) หรือโลว์อาร์ตมานาน ก็เข้ามามีบทบาทอย่างสูงในโลกศิลปะกระแสหลัก (mainstream) ในช่วงไม่กี่ปีมานี้ โดยเฉพาะการแสดงตัวตน การแสดงออกทางความคิดเห็นผ่านฟิกเกอร์ตัวละครต่าง ๆ และสร้างเสริมรูปลักษณ์ย้ำ ๆ ให้หนักแน่นเป็นคาแรคเตอร์ภาพแทนตัวตนศิลปิน เพื่อสื่อความคิด เรื่องราวที่อยากบอกเล่า หากศิลปะได้สะท้อนตัวตน ประสบการณ์ มุมมอง ชีวิตและสังคมในช่วงที่ศิลปินนั้น ๆ มีชีวิตอยู่ การแสดงออกในรูปแบบ เนื้อหา จึงเป็นในแบบคนยุคปัจจุบัน ซึ่งพรั่งพรูไปด้วยดิจิทัลเทคโนโลยี สีสันแสบแซ่บบนจอสกรีน การแสดงตัวตนและปฏิสัมพันธ์ฉับไวด้วยโซเชียลมีเดีย
นิทรรศการ 𝑷𝑰𝑷𝑷𝑶 𝑶𝑲 ! รวมศิลปินเลือดใหม่ 8 คนที่บอกเล่าเรื่องราว ประสบการณ์ ความรู้สึก ความคิดเห็น ผ่านฟิกเกอร์ตัวละครสไตล์เฉพาะตัวกับหลากหลายรูปแบบสุดเฟียซอันเป็นตัวแทนของศิลปะร่วมสมัยยุคใหม่ และสะท้อนไลฟ์สไตล์อันปราดเปรียวของศิลปินทั้ง 8

Fresh. Flawless. Fierce. Striking. Thrilling.
These are the distinctive features of new contemporary art. Many genres that fall under the umbrella of modern art have long been dismissed as underground art and regarded as “low art.” Auspiciously, as time progresses, it resurfaced with a pivotal role in the mainstream art world. By establishing an identity, expression of opinions through figures of various characters and reinforcing the emphasis on character representation of the artist as a vessel with vigor.
If art reflects one’s self, experiences, perspectives, life and society during the artist’s life, then the expression in form and content is in the form of modern people. With billowing digital technology developments and electrifying colors projected from a screen, self-expression and quick exchanges may reach the public through social media.
Eight up-and-coming artists who employ a variety of fiercely-defined techniques typical of new contemporary art to convey stories, experiences, sentiments, and viewpoints through uniquely designed character figures are gathered in the PIPPO OK! exhibition. The exhibition serves to display each of the artists’ dynamic lifestyles.
𝐌𝐀𝐌𝐀𝐁𝐋𝐔𝐄𝐒
ศิลปินจิตรกรรมที่โดดเด่นกับสีหน้า แววตา ที่ดูลึกลับ แฝงนัยยะลึกซึ้งของตัวละครและแอ็คชั่นของมือที่มักเล่าเรื่องในภาพให้มีชีวิตชีวา ผลงานถ่ายทอดสิ่งที่ศิลปินประสบพบเจอและความคิดเห็นที่ก้าวล้ำต่อโลกปัจจุบันในบรรยากาศเหนือจริง ผลงานทั้งสามชิ้นในนิทรรศการบอกเล่าเรื่องราวที่แตกต่างกัน ไม่ว่าจะเป็นความเท่าเทียมกันด้วยการจินตนาการถึงโลกไร้พรมแดนทางเพศ หรือเรื่องของอวกาศกับดวงดาวชายขอบที่ถูกละทิ้งซึ่งลิ้งค์กับชีวิตศิลปินสตรีท อาร์ต อีกทั้งจินตนาการถึงนักเดินทางในความฝัน ความฝันที่เป็นภาพสะท้อนความทรงจำถึงบ้านของตนเอง และการเปรียบลูกกรงเหล็กและกำแพงกับอาณาเขตของการทำงานในชีวิตจริง

𝐌𝐀𝐌𝐀𝐁𝐋𝐔𝐄𝐒
An illustrator whose characters’ expressions conceals immense and intriguing emotions, as well as mysterious eyes, and hands that frequently bring the scenes they depict to life. The work represents the artist’s experiences and develops ideas about the modern world in a surreal atmosphere.
Mamablues’ three pieces in this exhibition convey different messages about different issues; one which expresses the artist’s view on equality by depicting a world without gender, limits, or space. Second, there’s the reference to missing dwarf planets, which shares a certain connection with the lives of street artists being treated as an outcast in the art world. Finally, lucid dream traveller Lucid Boy represents a theme of lucid dreaming as it connects to the artist’s recollections of her own house and the metaphorical allegory of steel bars and walls to the real-life working environment.

สร้างสรรค์ทั้งงานจิตรกรรมบนผ้าใบ สเปรย์เพ้นท์บนกำแพง ประติมากรรมสื่อผสม และอาร์ตทอย ศิลปินถ่ายทอดเรื่องราว ประสบการณ์ ความคิด การเดินทาง การตั้งคำถาม ที่สอดผสานกับสิ่งต่างๆรอบตัวที่ผ่านเข้ามาในช่วงวัยที่แตกต่างจากอดีตจนถึงปัจจุบัน สื่อผ่านคาแรคเตอร์แทนตัวศิลปิน ซุปเปอร์ฮีโร่ที่พรางตัวด้วยหน้ากากถังกระป๋องสีเจาะรูเหน็บแปรงทาสีที่ได้โลดแล่นผ่านเหตุการณ์ต่าง ๆ ชวนผู้ชมให้ติดตาม

A versatile artist who works on many different mixed media ranging from paintings on canvases, wall spray-painting, and mixed media artworks to art toys. The artist conveys his anecdotes, experiences, ideas, journey and doubts that integrates with the surrounding things that have come in different ages from the past to the present media through character instead of the artist, a superhero camouflaged with a mask of tin paint can with a paintbrush tucked behind a drilled hole that guides the viewer to join his journey.

ซีรี่ส์ล่าสุด Neo Thai Civilization: 1st Evolution กับการวิวัฒนาการของเรื่องราวและตัวละครไปอีกขั้น คาแรคเตอร์เด็กสี่ตาอันเป็นเอกลักษณ์ ได้โลดแล่นสู่โลกจินตนาการของอารยธรรมยุคใหม่ที่สะท้อนประสบการณ์และจิตใจของศิลปิน “ตัวคาแรคเตอร์เปรียบเสมือนตัวตนเรา ลูกบอลสีเหลืองเปรียบเสมือนจิตใจภายใน เมื่อเราเผชิญหน้ากับสิ่งต่าง ๆ ที่ผ่านเข้ามา สภาพด้านในจิตใจก็จะต้องพัฒนาเพื่อเตรียมรับมือกับสถานการณ์นั้นเช่นกัน”

The artist’s most latest series of artwork titled “Neo Thai Civilization: 1st Evolution”, revolves around the idea of storytelling an evolution and the original characters to the next level. His iconic character, depicted as a young boy with four eyes, immerses himself in the imaginary world of a modern civilization that reflects the experiences and the inner self of the artist.
” The character represents my identity. The yellow ball represents the inner mind. When we encounter challenges, the mental state must also evolve in order to prepare ourselves for that certain situation.”
𝐒𝐢𝐩𝐩𝐢𝐧 𝐒𝐮𝐦𝐦𝐞𝐫
จากความรู้สึกปกติในชีวิตประจำวันซึ่งเป็นด้านลบซะส่วนใหญ่ ศิลปินต้องการสื่อถึงการสร้างความสุขให้กับตัวเอง เพื่อเป็นการปลอบประโลม และแสดงให้รู้ว่าความสุขและความสนุกที่เป็นตัวตนของเราจริง ๆ นั้นยังคงอยู่และไม่สามารถจะมีอะไรมาปิดกั้นมันไว้ได้ ผลงานจิตรกรรมของ Sippin Summer ผสมผสานสเปรย์เพ้นท์และทีแปรงจากพู่กันอันมีจากรากฐานมาจากงานสตรีท อาร์ต และจิตรกรรมฝาผนัง ในงานมักมีรูปปั้นเทวรูปหรือประติมากรรมคลาสสิกเป็นฟิกเกอร์ตัวละครหลักในงานตัดกับสัญลักษณ์ที่สื่อถึงความสุข เช่น ดอกไม้ เป็นต้น เพื่อสื่อถึงไลฟ์สไตล์สนุกร่าเริงในตัวตนที่ศิลปินอยากแสดงออกมา

𝐒𝐢𝐩𝐩𝐢𝐧 𝐒𝐮𝐦𝐦𝐞𝐫
With the monotonous yet ordinary emotions the artist face in his daily life, the artist strive to express happiness. To reassure and show that happiness and joy genuinely exist in his true identity and nothing can hinder it.
Sippin Summer’s paintings use spray paint and brush techniques inspired by street art and murals. To represent a joyful and happy lifestyle in which the artist wishes to express himself, there are often statues of idols or classical sculptures as figures of the main characters in the works, juxtaposed with symbols that indicate happiness such as flowers, etc.
𝐉𝐞𝐬𝐬𝐞 𝐓𝐡𝐨𝐦𝐩𝐬𝐨𝐧
ผลงาน ‘Big Foot’ เป็นส่วนหนึ่งในซีรี่ส์ ‘Dress up’ สื่อถึงเด็กที่อยากโต เปรียบได้กับการเอาเสื้อผ้าของผู้ใหญ่มาสวมใส่ แต่ก็หลวมใหญ่เกินกว่าร่างกายตนเอง ซึ่งในผลงานของ Jesse ไม่เป็นเพียงแค่เสื้อผ้าหรือรองเท้าทั่วไป แต่เป็นชุดเนื้อหนังของผู้ใหญ่ต่างหากที่เหมือนอยู่ผิดที่ผิดทาง เขาสร้างสรรค์ประติมากรรมพร้อมลงสีและสร้างพื้นผิวอย่างพิถีพิถันทำให้เกิดความรู้สึกสมจริงและเหนือจริงไปพร้อม ๆ กัน

𝐉𝐞𝐬𝐬𝐞 𝐓𝐡𝐨𝐦𝐩𝐬𝐨𝐧
Thompson creates sculptures while meticulously paints and textures, creating a feeling of realism and surreality at the same time. His work “Big Foot” is a fragment of the series “Dress Up” that conveys the desire of a young child that wants to grow up. Similar to a child wanting to wear adult clothes, but finding that it is much too big to fit on such a small body. Instead of the clothes or shoes that do not fit, the outfit is composed of a displaced adult human’s skin suit.
𝐁𝐨𝐛𝐛𝐲 𝐋𝐞𝐚𝐬𝐡
ผลงานแนวป็อปเซอร์เรียลลิสม์ ในบรรยากาศเหนือจริงกับคาแรคเตอร์เด็กหญิงชายที่แม้ดูน่ารักละมุนละไม แต่เมื่อพินิจดู จะเห็นถึงรายละเอียดและสัญลักษณ์ที่ขัดแย้งเชือดเฉือนอารมณ์ความรู้สึก ผลงานล่าสุด ‘Gravitiy, 2022’ กับเนื้อหาลุ่มลึกที่ว่า “คุณสามารถซื่อตรงกับฉันได้ ไม่มีใครจะได้ยินเราในห้วงลึกที่ไร้ก้นบึ้งที่เราทั้งสองได้ถูกลากลงมานี้ บอกกับฉันหน่อยได้มั้ยว่า คุณยังคงมีความสุขที่พันธนาการอยู่กับฉันหรือเปล่า”

Pop surrealism paintings are enveloped in a strange atmosphere and include male and female figures who appear charming and delicate. However, when you look more closely, you might notice subtleties and symbols that contradict the sentiments. Gravity, his most recent piece, beautifully embodies the quaint but desolate atmosphere.

ผลงานพิกเซลอาร์ตในสไตล์เรโทร-ฟิวเจอริสติกที่ผสมผสานลักษณะภาพ 8 หรือ 16 บิทแบบเกมส์ Famicom ยุคแรก เข้ากับรูปลักษณ์สีสันแพรวพราวจากโลกดิจิทัลในปัจจุบันที่เกิดขึ้นใน Metaverse และ NFT ผลงานถ่ายทอดผ่านฟิกเกอร์ตัวละครและความมันส์ สนุกสนานของเรื่องราวต่าง ๆ ที่ได้รับอิทธิพลจากวัฒนธรรมป็อปยุค 80 ไม่ว่าจะเป็นวีดีโอเกมส์ การ์ตูน ภาพยนตร์ เพลง ฯลฯ

Notably known for his retro-futuristic pixel graphics, which mixes 8-bit and 16-bit pixel art, comparable to early Famicom games, with an element of brilliant hues shimmering from the screen, as seen in the realm of Metaverse and NFT. His ideas are expressed with character figures and entertaining stories influenced by 80’s pop culture, including video games, cartoons, movies, music, etc.

The creator of paintings that captures the personality of life and character of a street artist who has been spray painting walls around the nation. His works narrates his personal experiences on various societal concerns, including economic situations, current political climate, and social media news that affects the artist’s emotional state. These ideas are then transferred onto his art. The major characters in the story-telling event portray the artists’ sentiments and happenings in a playful manner with vivid colors that are in keeping with the urban lifestyle as well as the modern era of pop culture and contemporary art.
